The lyrics are very well written by Vignesh ShivN again, and where he excels is stopping just short of becoming preachy but at the same time, a song on quitting alcohol cannot be just lip service. It is then that we start understanding that the song is about quitting drinking. Shouldn’t it be about continuing to fight and struggle without quitting? Then as the guitar starts playing in the background, a bottle is opened and we also hear it getting crushed.

When the song was announced, it was intriguing as to what kind of Thalapathy song asks people to quit. Last but not least, big applause to Arunraja Kamaraj (director of Kanaa) who penned the lyrics and Logi who created this very cute and interesting lyrical video that made the tune viral initially. One can envision this song becoming a college and teenage anthem that gets played in all college festivals. The bass guitar and percussion that run along throughout the song are very enticing. Kutti Story is very simple in composition, with its minimal usage of instrumentals. In fact, he does emote well in the song which reeks of simplicity in its structure or notes. The actor delivers a preachy song and the likability of his voice is intact as it adds more to the fun vibe of the song. He has this peculiar knack of combining good quality music with a sufficient dose of public-demanded style. The composer is known as the musician of the masses today in Tamil Nadu and that is no mean feat to earn that title. Singers: Thalapathy Vijay & Anirudh Ravichander Keba Jeremiah plays the guitars, both acoustic and electric. But it’s definitely going to hit the right notes among today’s college-going youth, specifically thanks to the fun lyrics by Vignesh Shivn. The nature of every instrument used in this song is Electronic but the song could have employed a few variations, at least, in the form of a longer stanza or something. It’s a song that belongs to the pop genre and there are only a couple like Yuvan and Anirudh himself who will be automatic choices as vocalists to deliver with ease. The trend of making fellow composers sing is a healthy one. The song is sung by Yuvan Shankar Raja is his most recognisable style and even his nasal voice can suit certain songs and this is one of them for sure.

Overall, this is a loop-worthy dance track that would be even better when the choreography bits get released. VMK drums band from Kerala simply slay you with their non-stop beats and let us not forget the dhol and percussions by Hitesh Shelai and Vishal K. Navin's flute starts playing in the interlude and now he takes on the shehnai head-on with some amazing gamakas on display. A special mention is needed for the way an instrument like the Shehnai has been employed so well to suit a dance number and in fact, it oozes fun while the instrument has traditionally always been used in pathos. The Shehnai (a music instrument) is the constant in the song and played absolutely magically by Balesh. There are very little vocals in the song and they belong to Gana Balachander and the composer Anirudh Ravichandher. This is the second single in the much-anticipated album of Master and this is basically about the two instruments and the percussion.
